YouTube
Youtube is the leader in online video worldwide. Over 100 million videos are shown daily. Youtube first started as a video sharing website an now offers a personal profile page. Your personal profile is called a channel page and it allows for friending. You are able to comment on other people's videos world wide which can help create new connections. You are able to share videos worldwide or with just a select people, you can control your limits to who you want to see. The more frequent you upload videos the more potential viewers you can have and that will lead to a relationship called a viewership. You are also able to use youtube with other social networking sites, such as facebook or twitter. You are able to post a link leading to the video on someone's wall on facebook or tweet it. This is a great way to get your videos out there. Youtube is a great way to stay connected with your family and friends. You can upload videos of virtually anything and be able to share it with your friends and family from all around the world. This is allowing you to keep connected with loved ones all around the world. Youtube is not only a good way to stay connected with other people but it is also a good way to stay connected with people if you have a business. Youtube now has commercials during some of their videos allowing companies to get their names and products out across the world. It is a great way for you to personally get known but also for a business to get known.

Youtube is a great way to get your message out with minimum costs. A big business can "Beta" test ideas with viewers, and even gain new customers through nontraditional videos. Look at the success of the Doritos campaign. There were millions of hits on the user uploaded videos. With you tube, you have a sort of open source R&D lab.
ReplyDeleteA good thing about Youtube is that if your videos are copyright infringement free with original music, and get enough views, you may be invited for revenue sharing.

Youtube is also a great place to learn how to do a variety of things. For example I learned how to braid and take better care of my hair on Youtube. It is great for me to learn a new trade, and it is awesome for those who are trying to get their name out there and market their business....for FREE!
ReplyDeleteI love youtube. You can find almost anything on youtube. It's almost like the video version of google. You can find anything from the newest song you just heard on the radio (or even songs that haven't even made it to the radio) or tutorials for anything from the new dances to how to style your hair. Youtube is definitely a huge benefit to the internet life.
ReplyDeleteI also think youtube is a great way to stay connected with family and friends. I attend school here but I'm originally from up north. My little cousins make videos and post them on youtube. It's a nice we to keep track of what they are doing without actually making a visit! Very convenient.
ReplyDeleteYouTube is an amazing idea. It allows the viewers to watch videos that pertain to an array of topics, anywhere from music, news, and even instructional videos. The great thing about YouTube in the minds of the consumers is the fact that it is free to watch. There is no fee to watch individual videos, nor is there a monthly fee. Not only is YouTube great for the viewers, it also provides a great outlet for companies to get their brand name out to the public. Although sometimes people do not always like watching the advertisements before the video, there are also opportunities to post advertisements along the side of the page that allows viewers to see them, ultimately leading to more awareness for the company.
ReplyDeleteEveryone loves Youtube! It's amazing how fast it grew. Although now there are advertisements before videos, but who cares, people need to make money Somehow. I remember I saw the first youtube video.. I hope at least YouTUBE wont get taken down. What happened to AIM Video Chat?
ReplyDeleteYoutube is the greatest invention since the internet; actually it was the Ipad, but Youtube has changed the lives of many. For example, the multimillion dollar rapper, Soulja Boy career was started by him posting homemade videos of him rapping on Youtube. If you have a hidden talent post it on Youtube and remember who told you this HUGE secret!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing to me that people can earn a living off YouTube. If anybody is familiar with EpicMealTime, you may know what I'm talking about. These guys make ridiculous (though entertaining) videos and accumulate millions of views. They were able to make a spin-off website that sells various merchandise such as hats and shirts, and I recently read an article that suggested they received compensation based on how many hits they got on videos. The writer estimated that they made in excess of $2 million per year from these videos, though I can't explain the process in any great detail. That you will have to learn for yourself.
